I need a new way to express myself,
so you don't need to guess
What otherwise I'd say aloud
And watch it float just like a cloud

High up above you like a thunderhead
But you would just look down instead
And wait 'til foggy skies abate
And vapor clouds all dissipate

And when with them all my words for you
Have softly sublimated too
And you'll just hope that I've moved on
So you'll look up and find me gone

Were getting on a plane in a few hours for boston. Cant wait to chill with some good folk .
Aug 1, 2004-HAPPY BIRTHDAY JERRY

July 27 th 2004 -
We are on the verge of the final run of shows, the creative electricity is conducting orchestras in my skull. I gotta admit it feels like we've been going full steam for a long time now and I'm truly Grateful for the 'pause' in the action. My gratitude for the music and friends and the INSANE amount of fun and JOY we had at these shows cannot be expressed in words . That's why I made so much art over the years. Art and playing music is the only way to demonstrate a deeper knowledge of phish  without 'TALKING' about phish all the time. So with the help of a slew of my talented friends ,Brad W, and Bahkti and Martini, and Scullo, and Rickey J, Adam M, &  many others in a joint, effort made some kick ass art  and music.
This process sparked in me a creative juggernaut that I "can't stop, I might end up in the hospital"
Its what I do best......to be in tune with good ideas.......to have a thumb on the pulse of the scene and the music. The psychic feeling I get when im calling songs and blowing my friends minds is my favorite thing in life besides them calling Crosseyed and doing back.
Speaking of psychic, 2 things, there's always several people on the cusp of what I like to call the
"hiddenly obvious"
.  Ideas that seem to be so incredibly obvious in retrospect,
as if they were supposed to exist so that we don't even notice them at first. (woah)
And similar designs of the same idea at the same time but with slightly different perceptions . .. .

"THE LAST SUPPER"
Its sometimes called 'morphic resonance'.
All these minds working in concert to bring you the reality you face when you get to the show is an amazing notion , and my desire to dazzle and astonish people with ideas and art is so much fun and it's matched by others who do the same and we trade for each others art because that's what its truly all about. We all come together in this microorganism phish, and share our ideas.
Wholesome, creative ideas and artwork inspired by the love of music.
What an incredible tidal wave of creativity! I'm really looking forward to trading artwork with everyone.
And to celebrate, we're giving away 2001-  "2001" posters on this last run of shows.

Thanks everyone! Especially Scullo !
These next few weeks should be interesting. I'm really excited about heading to Boston early to spend some quality fun time with my good friends Troy and Meredith and John and the whole MASS PACK,
Kevin, Erin, and Shane Rob and Jess,
and too many to count oh man, its gonna be fun!

This day in Phishtory 07/24/99 Alpine Valley Music Theatre, East Troy, WI -
This show was so crazy. The First set was so big.
With extended fluffhead jams  this set was legendary.
second set Trey was so wasted he could barley make it through.
the encore was a huge shocker.

Set II: Tweezer> Catapult> Tweezer, The Mango Song, The Happy Whip and Dung Song, Waste, Chalkdust Torture

July 23 th 2004-
Anyway's were wrapping up the finishing touches on the Coventry poster.
Its a great translation by Scullo, its been a joy working with him. Were really motivated people who may be on the right track to stardom. Fame, fortune and glory are all within our grasp .

I must be the luckiest guy on Earth. Since 2002, I've somehow been able to manifest good everywhere I go. The people in my life that I've met coincidentally has turned out so serendipitous that it all seems well planned.
Lately I've been experiencing weird De-ja-vu like all of this has happened before, and all of my planning and creations are just another loop, like I've already done all the art im working on in another times forgotten space.

July 21 th 2004-http://www.jibjab.com/    Funny!

I got my Coventry tickets from Music Today this afternoon!!
you guys are life savers! I gotta give mad props to all those kids up there at MT they got it goin ON!
The Dandelion on the website and on the ticket is beautifully symbolic of the whole thing being blow-n away on a fateful vermont breeze , and all of us far flung beings are the seeds that will float away and grow and expand like some recursive virus.

The new design is  getting out of hand. Scullo is the shiznibzz. He's got an insatiable appetite for creation. His 155 phish character posters and his translations for me have been nothing short of ASTONISHING.
I can't believe we never met on tour. We could have slayed many many dragons if we had been collaborating together all this time.  So now that are, were gonna get mid-evil on your asses!

Scullo 's phish knowledge and experience is a huge plus,
but his lightspeed TURNAROUND TIME IS 'NOT OF THIS PLANET'.
How can one guy crank out  final translations of my rough drafts ,
SO DAMN FAST???
Im beginning to beleive he has several artists held captive at gun point in his basement, forcing them to do our bidding.
As you can tell im real excited that were on the ball here but with limited time we'll see if we get any printing done before VT.

July 19 th 2004-

Today is a breakthrough day for me.
I've made a design that is the pinnacle of my poster career.
There will be 2 versions ,one photoshop hack, and a hand drawn version. Both will be sweeet.

July 17 th 2004-
OOOOOH SURVALLIENCE HUMOR! HOW ORWELLIAN! I just saw phish kids in Brooklyn on MTV's Boiling point, pretty fucking funny . There's a guy selling fake tickets and all these kids getting aggro asking for their money back.
I think its the funniesT TV show EVER. I guess it stands to reason.
BUT.......
As a big picture guy, I must play the devils advocate.
IN REALITY
This is just sugar coated propaganda setting the stage for global survalence. An INSIDIOUS ploy to desensitize the public to the intrusions of all kinds of hidden cameras. It seems funny now but the implications aren't amusing.

Its presented in a really funny way that disguises the impending ultimate polar opposite.

Big Brother is watching you. And they're making you like it , and think its funny.
HA HA HA ....BEWARE.

A Quote by Frank Zappa
"I'll give you a simple formula for straightening out the problems of the United States. First, you tax the churches. You take the tax off of capital gains and the tax off of savings. You decriminalize all drugs and tax them same way as you do alcohol. You decriminalize prostitution. You make gambling legal. That will put the budget back on the road to recovery, and you'll have plenty of tax revenue coming in for all of your social programs, and to run the army."
----------------Frank Zappa (1940 - 1993), Interview with this submitter, New York City, 5/08/1980

Why did phish break up?
Therve got to be many reasons. Here are some parts of the puzzle adding up to a small piece of the picture. Just My thoughts-

1.The world has become a more dangerous place to live, and its not nearly as safe/cool as it used to be, our society is more uptight, on alert, or whatever weird psychological phenomenon you want to use to describe the taming of America but we as a fan base are in weird state of low energy,  or ego-based-reality.Chalk it up to the rampant lack of good L   ovin  for the masses.
Plus , to hold any large gathering, the logistics and inevitable involvement of every facet of government to watch over it must be staggering and peculiar.

2.Trey is so manically creative that he's out grown the democracy of being in a 4 man band for 20 years that originally started of as a dictatorship that WORKED.He will evolve similar to Sting or David Byrne , making world music and conduct large groups of musicians. A control freak like Zappa. I look forward to the new stuff.

(pure speculation)
3.Treys parents who've worked their entire lives to nurture and develop the intellect of Americans on a national level , got to actually live vicariously through their son who's a rock star. Who's life was also dedicated to developing/entertaining American culture, only to have it get out of control . To their dismay,
Phish (like the grateful Dead) ARRESTED the development of massive amounts of kids who may have or never will do anything with their lives except follow Phish around the country. Especially if they toured for the next 10 years.
So Treys parents were like "Stop the madness, your going to unravel our society."

4. Fishman clearly stated in the last harpua that they played that he has a family now and wants to slow the tour life down. They all have kids  now and they want to enjoy their families and friends before the whole shithouse goes up in flames or they die in some stupid plane crash.

5.Playing the same shit over and over again gets dull.
And to see Trey singing Chalkdust Torture with a Grey beard would be too weird.

Another "contest"
Phish is announcing the second-and-last-ever Phish T-Shirt Design contest. Design a T-shirt for "COVENTRY", the band's two-day festival in northern Vermont and you could win two tickets.

Oh please, when is the bullshit gonna end?
Here is the "winner" of the Lemonwheel photo contest.>>>>>>>>>>>

And here is the winner of the IT T-shirt contest.

What's the deal with the outhouse fetish???

I know !!
Here's MY entry to the T-shirt "contest" Sticking with the running theme, im sure to win!...
